Hi,
How can I to do it in Fluent 6.2 ?: Solved in a Cartesian coordinate system as apposed to a cylindrical coordinate system therefore requiring higher order discretisation to avoid numerical diffusion. I simulate hydrocyclone and I have trouble with axial and tangential velocity... regards, opolanin |

Hi opolanin, What is your question about? If you want to solve the problem in cylindrical coordinate sytem, u have to create the geometry in that system. U can activate the cyclinderical coordinate system in Gambit. I am also trying to simulate gas-solid flow in a cyclone separator using Fluent 6.2. I am wondering how to incoporate the centrifugal force on the particles. Going thru fluent's manual i didnt find anything abt it, but someone told me that the centrifugal force can be taken into account..when the simulations are solved using the rotating reference frame model. Is it so..or is there any UDF which we can directly use. Could you please help me with this. regards, aPpA...
