monitoring dynamic heat flux through a surface

Hi,
I am trying to monitor dynamic heat flux through a slab on ground. My domain is completely solid and I am only concerned with heat conduction. I am using [solve > monitors > surface] to monitor the variable (i. e, heat flux through a surface at the end of each time step). The problem is that after some time steps I print heat flux by means of: 1. [report > fluxes] 2. [report > surface integrals] Flux values provided by these two facilities are identical, but they are not equal to that provided and recorded by [solve > monitors > surface] facility. Do you know why this is occuring ? can you suggest an approach to record heat flux through a surface at the end of each time step ? Many thanks in advance, |
