Hi,
Can anyone please tell me how to track the free surface in a VOF simulation?? I'm trying to plot the height of the water level in a tank transfer, but there are no such functions in the surface monitor panels. Any help is greatly appreciated. LK |

I am not sure if your case is the same as mine. I am actually dealing with sloshing problem.
you will need to patch the water level first. After initialize. you can go to surface, then iso-surface, then click on volume fraction, then water, then key in a value like 0.95, then click create. you should be able to track that surface. Hope that help. |

Dear Mr. Siao fei: I am a PhD student in Basrah university-IRAQ, mechanical ‎engineering department.‎ I also tried to used the VOF model like you but not for tank as your case my case was in a pipe flow since i have two phase strtified flow so that i was thankful if you send me your mesh file in gambit in my email address khalidb77@yahoo.co.uk or guide me how can you represent the two pahses in Gambit.
