Difference in pressure drop results

Hi Fluetn users I try to predict pressure drop for stratified two phase (oil-water) flow into a pipe I used the VOF model with Geo-reconstruct scheme to estimate the data and compare it with another paper in the same field of study. The results being in good agreement for the velocity profile to most water cut values but there were a large difference for the values of pressure drop can anyone tell me why? Knowing I use 2 D geometry?

when you say pressure drop, do you mean pressure difference at entrance point and the exit point? If yes, I do not know what is the problem. If not, maybe it is helpful to check the operating condition for your pressure reference location.

Yes I mean the difference in pressure values at inlet and exit of the pipe. I chose atmospheric pressure and its location at the point (0,0) the operating density (1000 kg/m3) reference to the heavier liquid? Is this correct?

The reference location is placed at a point where you know the pressure for sure (normally experimentally measured). However, that should not affect the pressure difference.

what about the operating density I set its value for the heavier phase (i.e. water) so is that correct? Also I give the gravity (-9.81 in y-direction)and (zero in x-direction)?
