Hi,
I modeled the free convection lab apparatus which is a rectangular duct with a heating module and some circular thermistors at different locations on the duct. When I tried to mesh them they are all meshed in different ways.I couldnt unite either the solid volumes or the meshed volumes. When I try to merge the solid volumes I see an error message saying the volumes cannot be united becuase they are not connected and when I try to merge the mesh I see the lower topology cannot be linked.HOw do I solve this and have a uniform mesh through out the unit? Any kind of hel pis greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Prem |

You could try joining the solids by means of a Boolean union. If the solids intersect it will work. If they have common or touching faces maybe, or maybe not.
