Seeding the Flow - Tracer gases?

Hello,
Does anybody know how to seed airflow in fluent models? I am looking at steady-state airflow inside a livestock trailer. I want to look at ventilation rates within the trailer but volume flow rates are not adequate. They do not allow for air exchanges. So I want to seed the airflow and look at how long it takes for these 'seeds' to exit the trailer. Obviously my model is steady state but if I could do some kind of analysis in fluent maybe I can calculate a residence time. Since the air velocity in the trailer is low in places, it will take more time for tracer gases/seeds to exit the trailer. Does anybody have any ideas? Also, I am modeling humidity in fluent using the species transport model. Having set up sensible boundary conditions I get relative humidities of 1000's of % when I post process - this should be no more than 100%! Any ideas on what is wrong? Best regards, Carlos. |
