Dear Razvan and Sham

I am grateful to you as I am benefited a lot from your conservation. Special thanks to Razvan, you are really expert in this field. But I am confused; I am simulating the flow over cylinder at Re = 10000. I used u=1, D=1, mu=1 and density=10000 for Re = 10000 then I got the excellent result. But If I copy the water liquid from 'fluent database' for material setup and use D=1, u=0.010048086 then I didn't get the result. I think both are equivalent to get Re=10000.

Could you please clarify?

Mahbub,

If I get what you mean, I think when you D=1 and u=0.01, and density of water (say 1000), your Re is about 10 not 10000. What do you mean you did not get the results? Is it the forces values or vortex shedding? Probably Razvan can help explaining it better here.

Sham.

Well, sorry if the miu=0.001 in water, yes your Re=10000. Did you get all the set up right? have you changed the interior to water in the define BC?

Sham.

Dear Sham Thanks for your quick response. Yes I think I did the right setup, ok I'll check it again. I got good vortex shedding in SST-Komega model, but good CD in K-ebsilon model like you.
