i see my scaled residuals when i run fluent go on straight line and the solution did not convered what this means??? sihat

Hi
You cannot observe anything just from residuals if they are going straight. In case of VoF analysis that's pretty usual. But that doesn't mean that the solution is not converged. Try to use some other monitor, like variation in velocity at some point, like exit etc. If this variation is very small with iterations, that means solution is converged. |

yes residuals can be meaningless. Use monitors and flux reports.

thanks very much for your valuable informations which iam so appreciate . i have another question iam using pipe fluid flow inside its diameter is 0.2m and the velocity is 3m/sec can you please send me user defined function using C for 3D inlet parabolic velocity thanks much in advance sihat
