Is this an open shell?

Upon attempting to stich faces together I get an, Is this an open shell? error message, It is an open shell,
How do I respond yes? Many thanks for any replies |

if it's an open shell, then itsn't a closed volume. And then you cannot use the stich Faces in the Volume Panel
