Film Evaporation on Horizontal Cylinder

Dear All,
I couldn't grasp the concept and couldn't find the help for simulating the evaporation of water falling as a film on Horizontal cylinder. I am initially trying for 2D simulation. I have created the model and done with discretization. I kept cylinder at the center and created the square domain. Water at saturated pressure state is falling from the top and the remaining 3 sides of the square domain are pressure outlet (psat). Cylinder wall is 5 deg higher than falling water T. So evaporation occurs in the simulation. Do I split the film region or will it be a single cell layer adjacent to the cylinder wall? If i split the film region with number of cells, than How can I implement evaporation code to that region? Please help me the concept and writing a UDF for this problem. Thanks in Advance.. Your reply would be very helpful for my research. Thanks, Mubasshir - |
