Hi I have created hexa mesh with ICEM CFD for 3D geometry and translated mesh file for Fluent6.1. Fluent run on this mesh file without any problem. But for 2D geometry Fluent shows error dimension 3, though I tried with quad mesh. So isn't possible to create 2D mesh for Fluent with ICEM CFD. If possible, how? Thanks in advance

You can setup a 3D mesh with just one layer of grid in the third direction and impose a pair of symmetric boundary conditions. Just as how CFX handle a 2D simulation.
