I'm doing a square box filling and i need to create a point inlet on the box surface.
the problem come when i want to create a point as a inlet for the box.
the boundary conditions set in the gambit is not allow to use point as a inlet. so what i can do....

Please help me...

hi Jane,

In my opinion, a inlet which is a point is meaningless physically 'cause the v,q and force partly depend on the value of the area A.

I suggest you give a tiny area to this inlet instead of the point.

seconded.
Fluent will calculate volumetric flowrate by multiplying c/s area of inlet with inlet-velocity. A point does't have any c/s area.
