Question absorption coefficient

Inside the cylindrical aluminum reactor is a small pipe whose material is quartz. The fluid is water. I defined material of quartz in solid with coefficienty of 40. When defining boundary conditions, I defined the pipe material as quartz with thickness of 0.0015m unter "thermal" tab. After iteration, as I checked the absorption coeffient of the pipe, it's 20.9 everywhere which represents water. What's wrong? Thank you!
