What effect does "aspect ratio" has on quality of the mesh? The worst element of my model has an aspect ratio of "17". Would it impact convergence in FLUENT and would it have profound effect on quality???

Guidance required. Thanks
Mohsin

i do not think it but you also have to manage the value of y+ with it!!

Thank you Aqib

yes you are right. So if the aspect ratio is high may be boundary layers should be added in the mesh.

Aspect ratio can be decrease by two things.... One by boundary layer and second by increasing the number of nodes.....
but you have to make sure that your Y+ is also in control....
So best of luck....

it shuld be concerned that having high aspect ratio in any where could conduct the solution to bad conditions of divergency.
i think that you have not enough results to study your y plus numbers.
i recommen you to generate a good mesh domain espeicially near the walls.
