UDS stored to UDM do not show the same values

I have defined a UDS and stored in it values which are function of position (x,y). The UDS values are fixed ie. I do not enable UDS calculation in the control panel. I then store these values in UDM. However when I plot UDS and UDM the values are not the same, although I fill the UDM with the UDS. Can anybody help.
