Question gambit edge node spacing

sayeem is on a distinguished road
i want to have a fixed number of nodes on a edge but i want then with a specified initial spacing along with a increment so that the mesh is fine to coarse. can someone help how to execute that in gambit.

i was trying to use the grading and spacing option in MESH EDGE section of GAMBIT
