Hi, Guys,
Currently, I am trying to do a case with FCC regenerator. Inside the regenerator, there is a solid-gas phase reaction C+O2=co2. However, since the volume fraction of Coal is more than 60% inside, the DPM model will be hard to use on it. Does any one have suggestions on this kind of problem. I really need help about it. Thanks! |

With this volume fraction of solid you should use Eulerian approach with granular flow.
DPM does not consider interaction between particle, therefore it is suitable only for fraction of solid lower than 10%. Regards Michele |
