# periodic boundary condition (translational) fluent 6.3

 June 10, 2011, 17:58 periodic boundary condition (translational) fluent 6.3 #1 New Member   Alex Hai Join Date: Mar 2010 Posts: 27 Rep Power: 16 Hi Everyone, I am simulating a droplet and i am using the translational periodic boundary condition so that when the droplet moves to the right boundary at the end of the domain it will re-appear on the left side of the domain. The problem i am facing is that when the droplet moves to the lower right side boundary, it re-appear on the upper left side boundary. So basically it translational on both X- and Y- axis. How can i make it translational only in the X-Axis. Does anyway one know? Thanks. Last edited by haihek; June 13, 2011 at 15:18.

Try to create conformal periodic zone as provided in guide.
N.B.: I'm not a big spec. in periodic b.c. in Fluent, I've studied it since today
