Hello,
I am running a simulation of 3D rotating channel in Fluent with the streamwise periodic condition applied in the x-direction. I am using the moving reference frame with the absolute velocity formulation. The turbulence model is DES. My observation is that the flow is not periodic as it should be in the x-direction. Attached are the time-averaged plots of the relative velocity components. The y-velocity is the worst. The periodic conditions are applied in the planes passing through the top of each rib. For demonstration here the flow is copied once. Does anyone know what is wrong in the problem setup? best regards, sk mean-relat-xvel.jpg Fig. 1. Mean relative x-velocity mean-relat-yvel.jpg Fig. 2.
