Discrete phase model

I would like to model the trapping of big particles (> 1 mm) behind barriers.

The problem with Fluent's Discrete phase model is that the particles pass through the barriers regardless of their diameter, for example if the gap is 500 micron and the particle diameter is 1 mm, the particle passes through the gap.

Can anyone guide me.

Assume your channel has a gap of 1 mm, so particles of 2 mm diameter should not pass through it. But using Discrete phase model, the particles pass through.

What is the obejctive, you are talking to general? have you ever read DPM and its basic and the porous problem

Even I am facing the same problem.The particles are penetrating out even if we have diameter of the particle more than the distance between the spacing of two wires.

Can any one help me in this regard.

Did you got the answer to this problem Mr.Khashayar.If you have solved your problem can tell me how you have implement this work.
