I am planning to buy a new computer for running CFD simulations. There are two suitable devices within my budget. One is with 2*xeon 8124 CPU and the other is AMD 2990wx CPU. I have no idea for which one is more suitable?
(By the way, xeon 8124 is a 64-bit 18-core CPU and its cache organization is 1.125/18/24.75 MB. AMD 2992wx is a 32-core cpu and its cache organization is 3/16/64 MB)
