Hi, we have a robotic boat here in our lab, and we have also built a wave/wind generator. We use this boat while the wave/wind generator is on, and we have some good results. Now, I am wondering if I could use CFD on this boat perhaps to see what the effects of the wind/wave generator is on the boat. Also, maybe to predict what a scaled up version of this boat experiences perhaps to make sure what we have in our lab is truly high-rough sea condition.
Thanks |

Surly you can do it, it all depends upon your knowledge of CFD. To be honest, this simulation sounds quite complex (multi-phase, free-surface, moving grid, 6 DoF), and it is not something that can be improvised...
