If you cant answer those questions then I would seriously question what you are doing in the CFD field and more pertinantly if the course you applying for is a little too advanced for your current level of knowledge

Ok Ben, If you can open up your mind like an inch and read more carefully my first post. I would like to clarify I am first year student engineering student and we will be going on CFD in a years' time, or maybe in third year, but there is a WORKSHOP I want to enter whch is for both novice and experts!! And everybody has to start somewhere, I started it online, on my own! more than you can say I will bet!! You might be an expert but dont seem to have the humblity that comes with being good, and tell me if I dont kick your ass in two years time on any application of CFD!

" and tell me if I dont kick your ass in two years time on any application of CFD! "
My dear friend you seems to think CFD too easy. After spending some years with CFD i still think i can not kick anybodys ass, or probably you are too smart. If you post a question on a general forum, people who visit your question are entitled to their opinion, if you don't like it, its not the way of responding. First spend two years learning it, then tell if you can kick any ass. Best of luck. |

I am sorry, I admit it wasnt the best way to respond. Its young blood, boils easily Thanks for being nice. From the little ezxperience I have got of CFD, or rather fluid dynamics, I havent even touched CFD yet, its far from easy. I am an average kid, not extraordinary, I will welcome your help. I was wondering at what level one usually starts CFD? I just passed 12th grade, also you can tell me the topics I should master before actually entering CFD. Thanks again for being nice.

i am not sure about what grade someone starts CFD, since i myself haven't done any course in CFD, i am autodidact. i guess it depends upon the work, mine is CFD, so i have to know it.

dear armpit
thanks for you plesent and level headed responce, i was meerly pointing out that if you don't know these basic things then it is likely the course is too advanced for you (even as a novice) certainly I would wait till you have hit university before starting out on such things as there will be a lot of background that you will otherwise not learn at a pre-university level. CFD isnt something you learn over night and trying to learn it all online is equally futile as there will be no one there to correct you when you (invariably) go wrong. I wont give anything away but as part of my day to day job I deal with every aspect of a commercial code I have been using for 5 years, I have studied it at both degree and PhD level and I would never presume to say I know everything about the code or CFD in general (although i am sure your ass kicking claim is unlikely to prove true). In the meantime keep coming here and asking sensible questions, get some good grades, get to university and then you can start using CFD properly. Until then, happy trails |
