Hi guys.
I am doing a project on the effect on tsunamis on breakwaters.
I am modelling tsunamis as simple 2D potential waves.
So far i have modelled simple waves in fluent using the open channel boundary condition.

Now I have 2 problems:
1. In my case the sea bed is at an angle. So as the waves approach the land, i need their height to increase.

2. As the waves hit the breakwater, what interaction parameters do i need to take care of?

Can anybody help me in this regard??
Thank you!!

Have you considered using VOF approach for your problem? It seems much more sutable then artificially adjust the 2D-conditions you have described.
I can send you some examples of VOF-solutions on liquid-surface interaction.

P.S. You probably can use time-dependent profile ore UDF to increase waves amplitude, but it works on inlets only. Once the wave enters the computational domain, you can't control it, becouse it is governed by Navier-Stokes equations. I don't use open channel conditions often, I'll see later how to deal with them.

You can contact me on yayakovchuk@yandex.ru for details.
