Hi,
Can anyone let me know a good plotting software rather than excel for plotting my transient analysis data i.e., obtained from fluent? I tried in excel but im expecting a higher quality graph to plot large amounts of data. I plot just an XY plot but i need a better and simpler one. Thank you |

Hi Sid,
There are a few. The industry standard, from what I've seen, is Tecplot. Tecplot Focus is sufficient for XY plots. I use that to plot convergence data. www.tecplot.com A colleague of mine swears by gnuplot. It's simple and free and can create really clean nice plots. http://www.gnuplot.info/ I also like to use Matlab for plotting and its implementation is a lot like gnuplot. I'd give gnuplot a shot. In fact, this response has me wanting to learn more about it. |

Try Paraview, its open source and much easier to use than Tecplot 360 (My personal experience!!)
