Hello folks,
I am currently writing my master thesis about FSI. I faced a lot of articles about ALE-formulation, which I want to describe. Actually my problem is, that I don't understand where I can find the ALE-mesh regarding my fluid and solid structure. Are both meshes formulated in ALE description? If so, why do I descretize a solid and a fluid mesh independently in practice? Does that mean that the mesh will be regenerated to an ALE-mesh once deformations appear? Do we need any interpolation at the interface then? Thanks in advance for every helpful remark. Thomas |
