Hello Guys
I Have a Problem,I am Simulating The In-Cylinder Flow In IC Engines Using LES Turbulent Model I Want To Know When The Eddy Viscosity Of The Flow Increase What Happened For Turbulent Level? Is It Increase Too? Actually What Is The Relation Between Eddy Viscosity And Turbulent Level? Thank You |

eddy viscosity is a character of a turbulent flow and augments the diffusion within the flow domain. as it tends to zero, flow becomes laminar. therefore higher eddy viscosity means higher levels of turbulence. but the term "turbulence level" is not an exact description. you had better to use "turbulence intensity" instead, which has an exact definition and can be calculated.
