as the title suggests I want to know how variable density of the fluid affects the SIMPLE algorithm. I'm studying natural convection using my FV SIMPLE code. the code works pretty well using bousinessque approx. but has ~30% error when I use variable density.
The only thing I do to take density variations into account is using interpolation of density where it is needed(versteeg CFD book, chapter 6 formulas). |
