Hi everybody,

I am working on a vertical axis wind turbine and I wish to export data in a couple of regions adjacent to the blades. Since, I am using a moving zone (mesh), I can not simply generate a line/rake as their location does not update as the blades move.

How can I do this?

Thank you very much in advance,

Can't your solver interpolate the data-you-want at a given 'position'?

If so, you know the rotation speed of the wind turbine, update your 'position' and extract the interpolated data at each time step. Your hands are tied with interpolations since you can't be sure that there is a mesh point at the point you want your data to be extracted.

If you solver doesn't provide such, extract the whole domain with mesh point coordinates at every time step and interpolate yourself.
