Hello everyone,

First of all I would like to say thanks to all of you. This forum has helped me a lot in recent months.

I'm trying to understand the shock formation in the wing Onera M6. If you look at the wing from the top it seems like there are two shocks which merges into one. Some authors refer to it as "lambda shock".

However, I thought that a lambda shock can only occur in the perpendicular section to the wing (i.e. airfoil section) and it was really small.

Could someone help me to understand what is happening?

Best regards
