donfrulli is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

I'm interested in an intake system and I'd like to simulate a flow at a specific valve position in a cylinder head.
I was thinking of filling a hole this way so that it covers all the valves.

Do you think another solution would be better, i.e. closing the valves separately or extending the domain in order to have the valves in their whole length inside the flow region?

Thanks!

If your interest is just in the flow arond the fixed-position valve you could consider the whole length of the cylinder and refine the grid mainly around and behind the valve...
I suggest to search similar problems in SAE articles
