Hello, First of all, My knowledge in CFD is very limited as I am a master student in electrical Engineering. I am currently working on a project where we want to place sensors in different-shaped water tubes to examine the effect of the environment on them. We are using Helyx os as a GUI tool. We had the idea of automating the process of simulating different geometry (tubes); meaning, we need to fix all the parameters (Vin, Vout.. etc) and test different geometry without the need to adjust the parameters all over again with every simulation. We thought also maybe we won't need a GUI tool for that, and that could be done directly by adjusting the OpenFoam files. However, unfortunately the available online documentation about that is very limited, and therefore we still don't know how to do it or whether it is even possible or not. If anyone has done something similar or even has an idea about how to get this done, I'd be most grateful to hear it. Best regards, Mustapha

In your case I recommend to construct the inflow area of your region with edge/arc in blockMeshDict. If the mesh is suitable for that you only need to change the arc commands and may rerun the simulation (after blockMesh-ing of course).
If you need to have very complicated inlets it may be necessary to write a small program which generates this and the surrounding blockMesh content.

I have done something similiar using StarCCM, I had to vary design parameters of a nozzle and run many number of simulations. I had automated by using python script and macros in starccm.
