Please suggest some resource describing finite difference/ finite volume schemes for 2 Dimension Advection equation (to be implemented in matlab).

For the linear 2D equation with constant velocity you have an exact solution and there are many example in literature of test-cases.

Hi,
There is a fantastic book on hyperbolic PDEs and their numerical solutions by Toro. He talks about many methods to solve such problems in 1, 2, and 3 dimensions. |
