Hi guys
I am running a really simple case to examine the heat transfer between nanoparticles (alumina) and the base fluid (water). In particular, I'm examining the conduction between particles and fluid and simplified the model by putting only one particle (40nm) in a 120nm*120nm*120nm domain. The particle is set 298.15 K and water set to 598.5 K to achieve an equilibrium of 301.5 K. But the model just doesn't settle and the temperature goes up and down from a few hundred K to almost 5000 K. The attached are the screenshots of the residual and warnings about temperature limits. All boundaries are adiabatic and no heat source in the domain. P.S. The model works when the water temperature is set to 465 K (for an equilibrium of 300K) Any help would be appreciated! Sincerely James |
