It is observed that the semi-implicit method for pressure-linked equations (SIMPLE) algorithm is widely adopted for pressure-velocity coupling for 2D unsteady RANS k-omega simulation (with sliding mesh technique ANSYS FLUENT) of Savonius Turbine. What are the advantages of adopting THIS particular algorithm over others in this case? How will this affect the results?
