I have also asked this question here in ELmer Forum.

I'm trying to change an Elmer example:

Quote:

Directory: VonKarmanGUI
Solvers: FlowSolve
Tools: ElmerGUI
Dimensions: 2D, Transient
to an axisymmetric model with an step in the middle.

Considering that Elmer only accepts y axis as the axis of symmetry! (really annoying) I changed the geometry/mesh and .sif file accordingly (replacing all the ys with xses and vise versa). but for some reason the vertical case direverges!

I would appreciate if you could help me know what is the issue and how I can solve it.
