Default Calculate P/V in oscillating flow

I am simulating oscillating flow in laminar regime. I want to know how to calculate the power per unit mass in the system.

In the turbulent flow regime, I would use epsilon to determine power per unit mass. For the laminar flow when the only variables available are U and p, how should I estimate Power

Power is Total Energy for time unit: dE/dt



you need to compute the kinetic energy and the thermal energy to get total energy

Thanks Filippo,

Assuming isothermal flow - kinetic energy in laminar flow will be the root mean square of the velocity fluctuations. And this can be used to calculate P/V. Is that correct?

Yes. The contribution of the power due to the kinetic energy is d(rho*V^2)/dt
