cfd new is on a distinguished road
I am new to Cfd.
As per my knowledge, in transient cfd simulation, we are solving set of equation considering value of variable is not function of time for particular time step. does that mean we are solving steady state simulation for each time step?
The transient solution is carried out only to take in between solution and using that solution for restart of next simulation ?

Thanks in Advance

Transient is related to a physical aspect of a field, it depends on time and we use a time integration to describe numerically such evolution. Then, depending on the physics, this transient can drive to a steady state or can develop in a fully unsteady behavior.

if I am running transient solution in cfd commercial software giving one time step of 1 sec and in result file transient contribution is shown zero. What does this ean?

This is the general forum. You have to post in the section dedicated to your commercial software

At each time-step (or iteration) you solve an equation. You can say a transient solver is at each time-step a steady problem or you can say each iteration of a steady solver is a time-step.

If it matters, then refer to the actual equations being solved and stop using big words.
