hi guys I am new to this forum. I am currently trying to write a code for single powdered particle impact on substrate for the cold spray process. the idea is to understand this phenomenon of how coating occurs but using just one particle initially. I am not sure which code will help me do that as I an not aware of which software to use to achieve this simulation. please let me know where I can start.

As you know cold spray is a two phase compressible flow and simulation is possible in fluent or openfoam. you can also write some codes to simulate particle motion in nozzle and look at for effect of kinds of forces to particles.
but simulation of deformation of the particles when reach to substrate will be better by abaquse. All best for you Peyman. |
