This assumption depends also on the Re_tau number, the isotropy is better achieved for high Re numbers

If you take a look at my Ph.D. thesis here:

on page 7, Fig. 1.1 a, shows exactly what mentioned by Filippo in terms of turbulence spectra, even if a clear reference to the isotropic one is missing. In practice you see that in the middle of the channel, with increasing Re number, the spectra tend to collapse toward the isotropic one.
