Hi All
I would like to know if there is a direct equation to compute the Taylor time scale! I have read around several book but there is nothing like for example the Kolmogorov time scale \tau_k = \sqrt{\frac{\nu}{\epsilon}}
Somebody might help me about ...

Take the length scale and divide by the velocity scale.

Tennekes & Lumley and Pope come to mind.

Thanks a lot for your reply !

reading Tennekes & Lumley I found that

\frac{u}{\lambda} = 0.26 \tau ^{-1} = 0.26(\frac{\epsilon}{\nu})^{1/2}

so :

\frac{\lambda}{u}= \frac{1}{0.26}{\tau}

where tau is the kolmogorov time scale ! is it correct ?
