some validation cases about DMD and POD?

hello everyone! Recently, I want to use DMD(dynamic mode decomposition) and POD(proper orthogonal decomposition) to analyze the data. I have read some references about them and start to write some codes using matlab. Does someone know some simple validation cases about them ? I just want to check whether my code is right. Thanks.

Have you found some cases?
Are you also investigating 3D data or only 2D data with your tool?
How do you visualize the modes of the 3D field?
