Hi Everyone,
I am trying to find the drag and Downforce ( -I've lift force ) by plotting the graph. the output values come in points like ( 0.023 ) but mine values are different it comes in bigger. ( 529 N,123 N) at the end of simulation . How I did I plot graph, rename it, give the direction of that force drag in( positive )and Downforce ( -ive) according to coordinate and then select the part on which I need to find the force at the end, I plot and monitor that graph. Can anyone help me or guide me where I did a mistake? If you need more information feel free and ask me. |

The downforce of what lol? We need 100x more detail to be able to help.
The way you ask your question makes it seem like you think you made an error in the plotting..I would first wonder if your simulation results are good or not. |

Thanks for showing interest and coming back for me
Basically I am making simulation on aerodynamics body and I need to find the drag and downforce generated by that body .After running the simulation I got drag and down force values which is about 500 N Down force and 132 N drag force .Ususally the values that I have seen at different websites and reports it is about 0.0023 N ( means in points not more then that). |

Are you sure that 0.0023 is the force and not a coefficient? |

I am trying to do CFD analysis on Aerodynamics body ,I made the geometry and then make wind tunnel over the body ,After doing that I made mesh and select the following mesh models Surface remesher, Trimmer,And Prsim Layer and then I generate the surface mesh and volumes mesh after generating the meshes I selected the physical models ( Three dimensional, steady ,constant Density, Air, Turbent ( K - episolan model) . In the initial values I give the velocity according the dimension (negative x -axis ) and give turbulent intensity value and then I selected the boundary condition for inlet , outlet and set the values ( velocity magnitude ) then i make a new the Reports of forces like drag force ,down force and give direction to each force and select the parts ( automated body ) and then Plot and monitor the reports .make a new scalar scene ( velocity magnitude and Pressure ) and then run the simulation
At the end of Simulation when I got the values of Drag and Downforce (108.189N For drag force and 569.38N for Down force ) when i put these values in Coefficient of Drag and coefficient of Lift formula mine results were ( Cl = 12.03 ,Cd=2.286) where density of Air is 1.184 Kg/m^3 and Area of Aerodynamics body is 0.01m2 (length of span * chord length) and velocity was 89.40m/sec). |

What software? Show us the site that says 0.0023 N please, this is way too low for a flow at 90 m/s. |
