Hello All,

I did a simple conjugate heat transfer simulation using openfoam (chtMultiRegionFoam) for some electronic components being cooled by a liquid. Total heat duty to which the electronic comonents were subjected were around 200W.

Even though the Re was around 3500, i started with a laminar simulation. I did the enthalpy check ie mcp(Tout- Tin) for the fluid to compare with the 200 W i supplied. Since it was a steady simulation with no heat storage mcp(Tout- Tin) was almost equal to 200 W and i am happy.

Now i introduced Kepsilon model into picture. Again tried the balance, however this time Tout was 2 deg more than that in the laminar simulation hence the comparison between mcp(Tout- Tin) fluid with Q = 200W was not good.

Then i tried kwSST with all the setting same as inthe previous case, however this time, the simulation could not go through and i got a negative temperature error. Just to specify, for the moment, i am using wall functions to treat the BL in the turblent simulations.

Any idea/advice/input for such behavior ?
