Dear CFD Experts,
currently I'm writing my Master's Thesis in Space Engineering about the design of an airplane/drone, that should fly in the Venus atmosphere. As my last step of my thesis, I would like to investigate if the airplane is stable, if for example a wind from the side or from below comes. For that, I would need to model the flight dynamics. I had only one course in university about FEM methods and CFD and I was wondering if it could be somehow possible to build a little simulation in CFD, that shows the flight dynamics of the airplane for a given scenario, e.g. wind from the side. Does someone know if and how this is possible? I would be very happy about an answer! Best regards, Felix |

If you need something more, then I think you need to use FSI (Fluid-Structure Interaction) in your CFD software. Last edited by Moreza7; February 22, 2021 at 10:05. |
