Hi, over the past few days I have been trying to create a 2D mesh using gmsh, with a boundary layer mesh applied to a subset of edges. However, I have been having a lot of problems, including what seems to be a bug in the Linux version of the software.

Here are links to two other threads I have created in the past 2 days:

How to create a 2D boundary layer in gmsh?

Why is the boundary layer mesh failing for this gmsh mesh?

I attempted to register at the gmsh gitlab site, so I could report bugs for some of these issues; however, I received an e-mail back saying that my account request was denied (no explanation given).

I am just wondering if anyone else has had any problems registering for the gmsh gitlab?

Find their email, report it to them directly.

After they get it, they may or may not take action on it immediately, as they might have other priorities.

Are you aware of any such e-mail address?

Frankly, it seems to bear all the hallmarks of an abandoned project. The developers certainly don't seem very interested in engaging with their user community.

Here's the page for the two authors : https://people.montefiore.uliege.be/geuzaine/ https://perso.uclouvain.be/jean-francois.remacle/

The email and other information about them are present there.

Might not want to ask directly for support, as that might sound really unprofessional.

Best would be to mention that you had difficulty submitting a report and are wondering if the project has been abandoned (it won't be), and thus you're now reaching out to them to know where you should go to report your issues, and for finding what's the future of the app.
