Hi,
Do I need HPC for the single computer fluent simulation?
most computer now has multiple cores, so I assume HPC is needed even for single pc fluent simulation.

am I right? Thanks!

It is highly likely that you need some hpc or parallel licensing option, yes. A single seat license will let you do some things in parallel, but most computers have way more core counts than what that will support.
