Hi,

What is the main difference between MAC scheme and SIMPLE scheme? both looks same to me ... both uses Poisson solver for pressure... where does the difference come between these two....

Some common points but also some differences. If you read the original paper of Harlow & co, MAC is for a time-advancement suitable for physical transient. The convection scheme is also more specific. The Poisson problem is solved in the framework of the projection method.
