Hello experts,

I am using STAR-CCM to analyze a few aerothermal properties on a hypersonic vehicle. I settled up a report to output the Surface Average of Boundary Heat Flux on Latest Surface," but I am getting a "no data, undefined ratio" error.

However, when plotting the scalar field of the boundary heat flux, I can clearly see some results. Please see the screenshot attached to this message for more details (yes, this hypersonic vehicle is unrealistic-looking, but ignore that for now, lol).

Why am I getting this error? I set the wall BC condition to a constant wall temp at 300 K if that helps understand the problem at hand.

Please help I am super confused.

Best,

Kev11

You want the latest mesh, not the latest surface. Similarly, make sure you select the surfaces in regions and not parts.

CAD is CAD. CAD is not CFD.
