Default Surface tension - Continuum Surface Force model

I am in need of references to papers / information dealing with an implicit VOF implementation of the popular CSF surface tension model. All the papers I could find uses an explicit implementation, i.e. calculates the momentum source term for the surface tension from the volume fraction field at the old time level.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you
